Legal Operational Assistant (Italian) – Luxembourg

About the role

The European Investment Bank is seeking a (Senior) Legal Operational Assistant with strong Italian language skills to join its Legal Directorate in Luxembourg. This full‑time, one‑year fixed‑term position supports lawyers handling legal documentation for projects in Italy, Malta, Greece and Cyprus.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and coordinate final versions of contracts and other legal documents.
• Manage signature processes, file original documents and maintain filing systems.
• Draft and edit communications, notes, reports and presentations in Italian and English.
• Handle purchase requests and administrative aspects of internal and external consultancy engagements.
• Liaise with internal teams, external counterparts and other Directorates to ensure smooth operational flow.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken Italian; strong command of English.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multicultural environment.
• Experience supporting legal or administrative functions, preferably in an international setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Familiarity with document management and filing procedures.
• Strong written communication skills in Italian and English.
