Junior Portfolio Management Officer

About the role

Join an independent AIFM boutique that manages complex private equity, real estate, private debt and fund‑of‑funds portfolios. As a Junior Portfolio Management Officer you will work directly with senior decision‑makers, gaining hands‑on experience in investment oversight and fund governance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Conducting Officer in monitoring private equity, real estate, private debt and fund‑of‑funds portfolios.
• Assist with onboarding new funds, evaluating strategy, risk/return profile and operational fit.
• Review offering documents (prospectus, PPM, LPA, side letters) to ensure compliance with policies and Luxembourg regulations.
• Analyse investment opportunities, challenge financial models and investment theses.
• Maintain detailed records of portfolio exposures, including allocation, concentration, leverage and liquidity.
• Document investment and divestment decisions, escalating issues when necessary.
• Apply delegation oversight framework: due diligence, ongoing monitoring, KPI tracking and board reporting.
• Contribute to investment committees, governance bodies and board presentations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or a related field.
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex fund documentation and financial models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• High integrity, independent work ethic and ability to manage priorities.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
