Internal Audit Manager – Luxembourg

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead a portfolio of operational, financial and compliance audits for our Luxembourg entity. You will provide independent third‑line assurance, ensuring governance, risk management and control effectiveness across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Own and coordinate audits covering financial controls, regulatory compliance, business processes, vendor risk and data governance in line with CSSF, CBL, ECB, EBA and ESMA requirements.
• Develop and maintain a multi‑year audit roadmap, aligning coverage with co‑sourced partners and European regulatory frameworks such as MiCA, PSD2, AMLD and DORA.
• Prepare high‑impact audit reports and presentations for senior leadership, the Audit Committee, Board of Directors and regulators.
• Drive remediation strategies, challenge management on risk‑based solutions and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Legal and Operations leaders while preserving third‑line independence.
• Mentor and develop audit talent, contributing to the modernization of the Internal Audit function across EMEA.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in internal, external or compliance audit within a regulated financial services environment.
• Proven ability to manage audit teams, concurrent audit portfolios and co‑sourced engagements across EMEA/APAC time zones.
• Deep knowledge of European and Luxembourg regulatory frameworks (CSSF, CBL, ECB, EBA, ESMA) and experience executing audits under these regimes.
