Custody Service Tax Expert

About the role

The Custody Service Tax Expert will support Bank of China Luxembourg’s custody operations by managing tax-related processes, onboarding new clients and sub‑custodians, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role works closely with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain accurate product and account information.

Key responsibilities

• Execute custody tax operations and manage products such as RAS, Quick Refund, and Standard Refund.
• Handle the full life‑cycle of customer onboarding, including KYC and due‑diligence tasks.
• Conduct periodic KYC reviews and due‑diligence of sub‑custodians and suppliers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date internal and external account and product documentation.
• Lead or contribute to new product development projects.
• Perform daily reconciliations, controls, monitoring, and middle‑office brokerage tasks.
• Prepare internal and external reports and review legal documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on various projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a custodian bank or related environment.
• Experience with custody tax operations, product management, KYC/account management, or treasury middle‑office functions.
• Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with SWIFT messaging.
• Knowledge of SQL, Access, and Python (preferred).
• Strong numerical and IT aptitude.
