US Tax Reporting Specialist – Private Equity Funds

About the role

We are looking for a US Tax Reporting Specialist to support an international bank in Zurich with the preparation and review of US tax reporting for private equity fund investors. The role involves detailed analysis of financial data, preparation of statutory forms, and development of reporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review US tax reporting forms (e.g., Form 1065 with Schedules K‑1/K‑3, Form 1120, Forms 8858 and 8621) for investors subject to US tax.
• Analyse extensive accounting entries and financial data sets to ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Develop analytical dashboards, reporting frameworks and optimise reporting processes, including quality controls and error resolution.
• Process client orders, record special cases correctly and verify large‑scale reporting results.
• Participate in multi‑country projects, including the development of AI‑based tools for analytics and compliance.
• Support ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus on Tax or Business Law.
• Professional experience in US tax reporting, preferably at a Big Four firm or tax consultancy.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of US tax legislation (FATCA, Qualified Intermediary rules).
• Experience preparing US tax forms such as Form 1065, Form 1120, Form 8858 and Form 8621.
• Proficiency in building analytical dashboards and reporting frameworks.
