Junior Regulatory IT Advisor

About the role

MAQIT is seeking a Junior Regulatory IT Advisor to support its clients in aligning IT systems with financial industry compliance requirements. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to regulatory technology, compliance frameworks and IT governance, ideal for recent graduates eager to develop expertise at the intersection of technology and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Answer client queries related to IT compliance and regulatory standards, with guidance from senior advisors.
• Assist in gathering and preparing documentation for audits or internal reviews.
• Contribute to reports on outsourcing oversight and regulatory obligations.
• Support client onboarding for Electronic Money or Payment Institution licences.
• Participate in training sessions, webinars and client workshops as a co‑host or support.
• Work with project managers on internal documentation and organization.
• Gradually learn to assess client systems and identify potential compliance gaps.

Required profile

• Proactive learner with a curiosity for regulations and technology.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to communicate technical concepts in plain English.
• Client‑oriented attitude and willingness to develop professional presentation skills.
• Team player who enjoys collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Required skills

• Fluent in English and French; German is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, Law or a related field.
• Any internship or experience in compliance, IT security or regulated industries is advantageous.
• Interest in financial services, data protection or IT governance.
