Financial Crime Compliance Consultant

About the role

PwC Luxembourg is expanding its Financial Crime Compliance team and is looking for a motivated consultant to help clients manage AML, sanctions, fraud and bribery risks. You will work on a variety of projects, from risk assessments to the design and implementation of compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial crime risk assessments covering AML, sanctions, fraud and bribery/corruption.
• Advise clients on Luxembourg and EU regulatory requirements, including AML/CFT frameworks and sanctions regimes.
• Support design and implementation of tailored compliance frameworks.
• Perform KYC, customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD), including adverse media checks and beneficial ownership analysis.
• Contribute to transaction monitoring, alert analysis and preparation of suspicious transaction reports.
• Assist in implementing and reviewing sanctions screening processes and tools.
• Prepare high‑quality deliverables such as presentations, reports, dashboards and training materials.

Required profile

• University degree in Law, Finance, Compliance or a related field.
• First experience in consulting, financial services or compliance.
• Strong interest in AML, sanctions and transaction monitoring and the related regulatory environment.
• Analytical mindset with ability to solve complex problems and deliver pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and client‑facing experience.
• Proactive, rigorous, detail‑oriented and fluent in English (written and oral).
