Banking & Finance Lawyer – Luxembourg

About the role

Mourant is seeking an experienced banking and finance lawyer to join its Finance and Corporate team in Luxembourg. The role offers exposure to high‑profile, cross‑border transactions and the chance to work closely with senior partners on complex matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of cross‑border banking and finance matters.
• Participate in fund finance, structured finance and asset finance transactions.
• Assist with financial restructurings and general banking work.
• Draft legal documentation, memoranda and conduct extensive legal research.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through direct interaction.
• Contribute to the delivery of high‑value, complex matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues across jurisdictions and practice areas.
• Take ownership of workstreams and manage matters under appropriate supervision.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a banking and finance lawyer within a Luxembourg law firm.
• Master’s degree in law and passed (or planning to pass) the CCDL.
• Demonstrable experience in structured finance, asset finance, fund finance or financial restructuring.
• Experience at, or training with, an international law firm.
• Ability to manage complex work with a high level of responsibility.
• Strong communication skills in French and English, both written and verbal.
• Pro‑active, service‑oriented mindset with a collaborative team spirit.
