Accounting Manager – Real Estate Portfolio

About the role

Join an international real estate investment firm’s Luxembourg finance team as an Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for the accounting, reporting, treasury and financial control of a portfolio of French real‑estate investment entities while leading a Paris‑based accountant.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial reporting for French real‑estate SPVs, holding companies and cross‑border vehicles.
• Supervise and mentor one Accountant in Paris, ensuring timely deliverables.
• Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable, intercompany, fixed‑asset and loan accounting records.
• Lead preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and coordinate closing processes.
• Oversee invoice approval, payment runs, vendor master data and accounting allocations.
• Monitor cash positions, treasury activities and bank reconciliations for the French portfolio.
• Coordinate with local accounting firms, property managers, tax advisors, auditors and other external stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and variance analysis.
• Participate in acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and corporate restructurings from an accounting perspective.
• Prepare management reporting packages for senior leadership and ensure compliance with Luxembourg and French regulations.
• Act as the technical accounting reference point and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong understanding of real‑estate investment structures (SPVs, holding companies, cross‑border vehicles).
• Previous experience supervising accounting staff or managing external service providers.
• Solid technical accounting knowledge covering closings, reconciliations, treasury, AP and audit coordination.
• Experience with French real‑estate assets and French accounting frameworks.
