Vice President – Tax Compliance (International)

About the role

As an International Tax Expert based in Eschborn, you will join Deutsche Börse Group’s global tax team to lead indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will ensure timely filing, advise on cross‑border transactions, and support strategic tax initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT/GST returns in various jurisdictions, coordinating with local advisors and authorities.
• Provide advisory support on indirect tax implications of international transactions, supply chains and service models.
• Lead VAT‑relevant process design and classification in SAP S/4HANA, including tax determination implementation and testing.
• Identify and mitigate indirect tax risks, supporting internal audits and control reviews.
• Contribute to global tax planning, VAT efficiency and recovery strategies.
• Act as primary contact for internal departments and external advisors on indirect tax matters.
• Monitor international VAT/GST regulatory developments and assess their impact on the Group.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, law or related field; advanced tax qualifications (e.g., Steuerberater, CTA, ADIT) are a plus.
• Several years of experience in indirect and corporate income tax, preferably in a multinational corporation or international advisory firm.
• Strong expertise in international VAT/GST regulations, especially in European jurisdictions.
• Experience with corporate income taxes and related reporting obligations is an asset.
• Business‑fluent English and German; additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
