Sustainability Construction Engineer Associate

About the role

PWC Luxembourg is expanding its Sustainability team and is looking for a Construction Engineer Associate to support environmental analysis of buildings and technical studies. You will work on advisory projects that help clients achieve sustainable construction goals and obtain certifications such as BREEAM and WELL.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical studies for new builds and major renovations, including daylight factor calculations and dynamic thermal simulations.
• Conduct life‑cycle assessments (LCA) and life‑cycle cost analyses (LCC) for building projects.
• Support greenhouse‑gas emissions calculations and assist clients with LCBI certification.
• Contribute to ESG‑related projects, environmental performance analysis, and sustainability reporting.
• Assist with regulatory and compliance work, such as EU Taxonomy alignment.
• For senior profiles, take greater responsibility for project delivery and client interaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Environment or Energy.
• Relevant experience or internships in energy, sustainability or construction (strong asset for senior candidates).
• Strong analytical mindset, structured problem‑solving approach, and ability to manage multiple tasks autonomously.
• Excellent written and spoken English and French.
• For senior associate roles, proven experience in sustainability consulting, building environmental assessments or certifications (BREEAM, WELL, LCA tools).
