SPV Accountant (Luxembourg)

About the role

Our client is a leading private‑equity firm focused on infrastructure investments, managing around €30 billion in assets. As the business expands, they are hiring an experienced SPV Accountant to join the SPV Administration team in Luxembourg. The role reports to the accounting manager and the Head of SPV Administration and offers the chance to take on increasing responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate day‑to‑day bookkeeping for a portfolio of SPVs, covering acquisitions, disposals, financing, accruals, operating expenses and quarterly reporting packages.
• Prepare annual financial statements in line with Luxembourg GAAP, coordinate audit processes and liaise with auditors.
• Execute weekly cash reconciliations, manage invoice payments with the accounts‑payable team and support corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax filings.
• Collaborate with Funds, Tax, Legal, Compliance and Deal teams, as well as depositary banks, to ensure smooth execution of investment and divestment transactions.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency and reporting quality.

Required profile

• Accounting qualification or a finance‑related university degree.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as an SPV Accountant or in a comparable role within private‑equity, real‑estate or financial services.
• Strong understanding of SPV structures, Luxembourg GAAP and related financial reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with investment‑management systems such as eFront, Investran or Allvue.
• Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
