About the role

Amazon’s Global Risk Audit Management – Transportation (GRAM‑T) team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for a 12‑month contract. You will help build AI‑powered, highly available, and scalable distributed systems that support international transportation risk and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop large‑scale distributed platforms that process complex transportation data.
• Implement AI‑driven solutions to accelerate proactive risk management.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate domain expertise into technical solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance across global operations.

Required profile

• Professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• Experience designing or architecting systems using design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles.
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Familiarity with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
