Senior Training & Capacity Development Expert

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Senior Training and Capacity Development Expert to support the EU‑funded project on Uzbekistan’s Agri‑Food Development Strategy (2020‑2030). The role will design and deliver training programmes that strengthen institutional capacities and promote climate‑smart, market‑oriented agri‑food systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement training and institutional capacity‑development programmes linked to agri‑food sector reforms.
• Conduct training needs assessments and capacity analyses for ministries and sector institutions.
• Develop curricula, manuals, toolkits and other technical learning materials.
• Lead Training‑of‑Trainers (ToT) programmes and professional development activities.
• Advise public institutions on adult‑learning methodologies, organisational learning systems and knowledge‑management approaches.
• Organise and deliver workshops, seminars, study visits and technical exchanges.
• Contribute to e‑learning platforms, digital training tools and blended‑learning approaches.
• Coordinate with ministries, universities, training centres, research institutes and development partners.
• Integrate gender equality, youth participation, climate‑smart agriculture and sustainability into training programmes.
• Support monitoring, reporting and evaluation of training and institutional‑strengthening activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in education, organisational development, agricultural sciences, rural development, public administration or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in training, institutional development or capacity‑building, with at least 7 years in designing and implementing training programmes.
• Proven experience in agricultural, governance or development projects in developing or transition economies.
• Experience with international development cooperation and donor‑funded programmes.
