Senior System Engineer – Azure & Microsoft 365

About the role

Global Jet Luxembourg is seeking a proactive Senior System Engineer to take ownership of its Microsoft‑based cloud environment. You will assess the current Azure and Microsoft 365 landscape, implement improvements, and ensure the infrastructure aligns with best‑practice standards for scalability, security, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimise Azure and Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and licensing.
• Configure, deploy and manage Azure resources such as virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, and application services.
• Implement and continuously enhance security controls across cloud and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Assess and optimise Azure architecture for scalability, security and performance.
• Manage Azure networking, security, and API Management services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise cloud resources while supporting application integration.
• Maintain technical documentation and drive continuous infrastructure improvement.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in cloud engineering or IT infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, Microsoft 365, and on‑premises Windows/Linux environments.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AZ‑500, AZ‑400, MS‑100, MS‑101, SC‑100, SC‑200, SC‑300).

Required skills

• Azure DevOps, API Management, Azure Automation (Logic Apps, Functions).
• Azure networking (VNETs, NSGs, Firewalls) and Azure Virtual Desktop / Windows 365.
• Azure Policy and governance.
• Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Defender suite.
• Active Directory, Windows Server (2019‑2025), SQL Server, MySQL.
• Linux servers (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Fortigate firewall / network virtual appliance.
• Cloud and on‑premises security principles.
