Senior Officer - Tax Compliance

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Officer to manage tax compliance and withholding tax reclaim processes for our clients. The role involves coordinating with local offices, tax authorities and custodians to ensure accurate and timely tax recoveries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit forms to reclaim unduly levied withholding tax and gather required documentation.
• Maintain regular contact with Luxembourg and international offices, tax authorities, custodians and clients to ensure correct processing.
• Monitor the progress of tax reclaims, manage the recovery process and follow up refunds on behalf of clients.
• Provide regular status reports to clients on reclaim activities.
• Support multinational and local clients with reporting requirements related to FATCA, CRS and Qualified Intermediary (QI) rules.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, management or law with a focus on tax legislation, or at least three years of relevant experience in a tax department of an audit/tax firm or a bank’s securities back‑office.
• Knowledge of FATCA, CRS and QI regulations is preferred.
• Familiarity with taxation of financial instruments and individual tax rules in France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience in project management.
• Fluent English; German or French is an asset.
