Senior Compliance Officer

About the role

As a Senior Compliance Officer you will support the Compliance Team Leader in ensuring that the bank meets all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies. The position focuses on the bank’s depositary banking activities (AIF) and broader AML and regulatory compliance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary compliance contact for depositary banking activities.
• Monitor and assess regulatory developments affecting depositary services and investor protection.
• Define, implement and execute compliance controls and monitoring plans for depositary activities.
• Perform and document compliance checks, follow up on findings and manage action plans.
• Provide regulatory advice to business stakeholders and contribute to policy, procedure and guideline maintenance.
• Support interactions with regulators, auditors and internal control functions on depositary‑related matters.
• Identify, assess and escalate compliance risks related to depositary services.
• Strengthen the bank’s AML and financial crime framework, including client onboarding, monitoring and AML reviews.

Required profile

• Significant experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within depositary banking or asset‑management environments.
• Strong knowledge of AML regulations and financial crime prevention.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with business units, regulators and auditors.
• Detail‑oriented with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
