Senior Chemical Risk Assessor

About the role

The Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is seeking a Senior Chemical Risk Assessor to join its Medical Expertise and Data Intelligence service within the Department of Health Protection. This full‑time, fixed‑term position (2 years) involves contributing to the European PARC programme and supporting national environmental and occupational health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive chemical risk assessments for environmental and occupational health contexts.
• Provide toxicological expertise to hospitals, ministries and occupational medicine services.
• Develop and deliver risk assessment reports and scientific advice.
• Participate in the PARC programme and national epidemiological health surveys.
• Collaborate with university partners and international research networks.

Required profile

• PhD in toxicology, chemistry, environmental health or a related discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in chemical risk assessment.
• Strong knowledge of European chemical safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, public‑health focused team.
• Fluent in English (French proficiency advantageous).
