Senior Chemical Risk Assessor – Fixed-term (2 years)

About the role

The Laboratoire national de santé is seeking a senior chemical risk assessor to join its Medical Expertise and Data Intelligence service. This full‑time, fixed‑term position (2 years) will support the European PARC programme and contribute to Luxembourg’s public health protection against chemical hazards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scientific assessments of chemical risks for environmental and occupational health.
• Provide expert advice to hospitals, ministries and occupational medicine services.
• Design and analyse epidemiological surveys related to chemical exposure.
• Collaborate with national and international research partners, including the PARC consortium.
• Prepare technical reports and contribute to policy recommendations.

Required profile

• PhD in toxicology, chemistry, environmental health or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in chemical risk assessment at a senior level.
• Familiarity with European chemical regulations and public‑health frameworks.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate scientific findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
