Senior Android Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology team focused on mobile security and fraud prevention. The role is fully remote and part of a globally distributed organization headquartered in Luxembourg. You will design and enhance Android SDKs and applications that provide device intelligence and detection capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and optimisation of Android SDKs and mobile applications centred on device intelligence, fraud detection and mobile security.
• Design and implement advanced detection signals while improving performance, stability, scalability and reliability across Android products.
• Build and enhance mobile applications and developer tools using modern Android technologies such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, analysts and security researchers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Research, prototype and evaluate new methodologies to strengthen mobile intelligence and detection systems.
• Analyse post‑deployment data to continuously improve server‑side logic, detection accuracy and overall product effectiveness.
• Maintain and support open‑source Android projects and demo applications, improving developer experience.
• Translate UI designs into high‑quality mobile interfaces and ensure adherence to modern Android best practices.
• Provide technical insights and data‑driven recommendations based on mobile ecosystem trends.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in native Android development in a senior engineering capacity.
• Strong background in information security, mobile security or fraud‑prevention technologies.
• Proven experience building Android applications and SDKs from scratch with full ownership of the development lifecycle.
• Deep understanding of Android internals and mobile system architecture.
