Reliability Engineer – Shears (Manufacturing)

About the role

As a Reliability Engineer you will ensure that plant equipment operates efficiently and continuously, applying preventive and predictive maintenance techniques to minimise downtime and improve overall equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Support long‑term performance of machines and electro‑mechanical equipment through inspections and manufacturer‑recommended maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance and hands‑on support to preventive and reactive maintenance teams.
• Standardise spare‑parts inventories and recommend material requirements.
• Analyse breakdowns and downtime trends using SAP or CMMS to identify recurring issues and implement improvements.
• Conduct ZFA and RCFA analyses for continuous improvement.
• Apply predictive diagnostics such as thermal imaging, vibration analysis, gearbox alignment and motor circuit testing.
• Develop lubrication routes and support automatic lubrication system implementation.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production and quality teams on improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment reliability, maintenance engineering or industrial manufacturing.
• Fluent in English and French or German.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams.
