Quality & Technical Coordinator (PhD) – Full-time

About the role

The Laboratoire national de santé is seeking a qualified professional to split their time between quality coordination (40%) and technical coordination (60%) within the Department of Health Protection. This full‑time position (40 h/week) is offered on a permanent contract and starts as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the laboratory’s quality management system in line with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Oversee chemical and microbiological analyses of environmental and human biological samples.
• Develop and validate biomarkers of exposure and effect for environmental and occupational health studies.
• Coordinate technical activities across the ENVIROH and MEDI services, ensuring methodological consistency.
• Support national and European epidemiological surveys and collaborate with the National Hospital Service for Environmental Medicine.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., analytical chemistry, microbiology, toxicology, or public health).
• Proven experience in a certified analytical laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance procedures and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work autonomously and liaise with public health stakeholders.
