Quality & Technical Coordinator (PhD) – Full-time

About the role

The Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is seeking a qualified professional to split the duties of Quality Coordinator (40%) and Technical Coordinator (60%) within its Department of Health Protection. This full‑time, permanent position (40 h/week) supports the laboratory’s mission to protect public health through high‑quality environmental and biological monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain the laboratory’s quality management system, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Oversee technical aspects of chemical and microbiological analyses performed on environmental and human samples.
• Support the Environmental Hygiene and Human Biological Monitoring service in method validation, data review, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the Medical Expertise and Data Intelligence service on epidemiological studies and data intelligence projects.
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as hospitals, ministries, and occupational health services.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., environmental health, toxicology, analytical chemistry, or related field).
• Proven experience in laboratory quality assurance and accreditation processes.
• Strong understanding of environmental and occupational health monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements.
• Expertise in chemical analysis techniques.
• Expertise in microbiological analysis techniques.
• Experience with measurement of human biomarkers in biological matrices.
