Project Manager, IRIS2 Industrialization

About the role

The Operations Project Manager will lead the end‑to‑end development of satellite manufacturing facilities for the IRIS2 programme. This permanent position in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, is responsible for guiding factory construction and industrialisation projects from contract signature through to full production readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, deliverables, timelines and budgets for factory construction and set‑up.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure compliance with engineering, manufacturing, security and HSE requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on product & process engineering, facility infrastructure, production workflows and capacity planning.
• Identify programme risks (technical, industrial, supply‑chain) and implement mitigation strategies.
• Implement project tracking mechanisms, produce regular KPI dashboards and reports for senior management.
• Ensure all equipment and production lines are installed, qualified and ready for start‑of‑production (SOP).
• Manage relationships with construction firms, equipment suppliers and engineering partners, leading governance, reporting and risk management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial project management within automotive or aerospace manufacturing environments.
• Strong leadership and cross‑functional coordination abilities.
• High attention to detail, quality and safety standards.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑tech settings and manage complex, multi‑stakeholder projects.
