Private Equity Intern

About the role

This full‑time, temporary internship is based in Senningerberg, Luxembourg, within the Portfolio Management Private Markets team of a global asset manager. The position offers direct exposure to the full life‑cycle of illiquid alternative investment funds and segregated accounts, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the conception and ongoing management of investment products, including funds, holdings, and mandates.
• Support investment decision‑making processes at initial assessment and on an ongoing basis.
• Contribute to performance reviews and portfolio build‑up analysis for asset‑management oversight.
• Participate in optimisation initiatives such as third‑party structuring, restructuring, treasury management, and transactions.
• Help with financial modelling activities, including business‑plan development and treasury‑management modelling.
• Maintain and enhance internal systems, databases, and operational processes.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners across the investment platform.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in a relevant field.
• Some prior exposure to private markets (e.g., private debt, private equity, infrastructure).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
