Privacy-Preserving Federated Learning Internship

About the role

Join the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) for a three‑month research internship focused on privacy‑preserving federated learning. You will work on cutting‑edge projects that aim to make distributed machine learning secure and trustworthy.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and benchmark state‑of‑the‑art federated learning schemes.
• Develop privacy‑enhancing mechanisms for federated learning frameworks.
• Implement robustness and trustworthiness solutions to protect against attacks.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with a focus on cybersecurity.
• Strong programming abilities, especially in Python and C++.
• Familiarity with federated learning concepts and potential attacks (e.g., data poisoning, membership inference) is a plus.
• Experience with data preprocessing, particularly for healthcare data, is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
