Payroll Officer (m/f)

About the role

RTL, Europe's leading entertainment brand, is hiring a Payroll Officer (m/f) in Luxembourg to join its HR team, which includes around 10 HR specialists and supports about 650 employees at RTL City. The role covers payroll administration, salary calculation and timely payments, and works closely with accounting and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all payroll tasks, including administration, salary calculation and timely payment of wages, social security contributions and taxes
• Manage payroll processes autonomously, ensuring accuracy, compliance and respect of deadlines
• Handle monthly tax and social security declarations, annual obligations and support during fiscal controls
• Follow up early retirement dossiers and administer and pay supplementary pension schemes
• Help implement and monitor labour, social security and tax regulations, and improve HR administration and payroll processes
• Take part in preparing and monitoring the personnel budget and provide payroll data for accounting closings (accruals, reconciliations, provisions)
• Liaise with external auditors and help customise and improve HRIS tools

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with solid professional experience in payroll administration in Luxembourg
• Fluent French and English (written and spoken); German and/or Luxembourgish is an asset
• Able to work autonomously with accuracy and reliability, with strong organisation and communication skills

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of payroll accounting (provisions, budgeting, cost accounting)
• Familiarity with at least one payroll tool; HRIS experience is an asset
• Advanced Excel skills
