Microsoft Data & AI Engineer

About the role

Devoteam, an AI-driven Microsoft partner and tech consulting firm, is hiring a Microsoft Data & AI Engineer in Luxembourg. You will help clients build modern, reliable and AI-ready data platforms using the full Microsoft stack, balancing hands-on delivery with strategic advisory in hybrid environments where legacy systems meet modern cloud architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build ELT/ETL pipelines across the Microsoft stack, from on-premises SSIS workflows to Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
• Model and maintain semantic layers in Power BI (DAX, RLS, deployment pipelines, Apps) that serve as the single source of truth for reporting.
• Migrate and modernise BI environments, for example SQL Server to Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, ADLS Gen2 or OneLake.
• Implement analytics engineering standards: data testing, documentation, version control and performance tuning (T-SQL optimisation, stored procedures).
• Support clients in defining their data modelling strategy (Kimball / Inmon) and analytical architecture.
• Prototype and evaluate emerging capabilities such as Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services and Azure AI Foundry, and turn them into production-ready recommendations.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience.
• Fluent spoken and written English and French.
• Analytical thinker, structured and autonomous, clear communicator, curious and proactive.

• Power BI Desktop and Service (DAX, RLS, Apps)
• Data warehousing: Kimball and Inmon modelling concepts
• On-premises stack: SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS
• Cloud stack: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric
• Storage: ADLS Gen2, OneLake
• AI integration: Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services
• Nice to have: Databricks, Azure AI Foundry, Python/PySpark, dbt, and Microsoft/DBT certifications (DP-600, PL-300, DP-700, DP-203)
