Medical Technical Assistant – Molecular Diagnostics

About the role

Join the molecular diagnostics team at Laboratoires Réunis, a leading laboratory diagnostics provider in Luxembourg. As a Medical Technical Assistant you will work in the infectious disease molecular biology department, handling samples and performing key molecular assays.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process clinical samples for molecular testing.
• Perform nucleic acid extraction, DNA quantification and PCR assays.
• Operate partially and fully automated laboratory equipment and ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
• Analyze and interpret PCR results using laboratory software and LIS.
• Prepare, update and maintain SOPs, forms and procedures for specific equipment.
• Order reagents and consumables to guarantee uninterrupted laboratory operations.
• Conduct inter‑laboratory tests and assist in internal and external audits.
• Maintain the laboratory premises and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Required profile

• Formal training as a medical‑technical assistant, laboratory technician, graduate biologist or equivalent.
• Professional authorization to work in Luxembourg.
• Good command of English and French; German is a plus.
• Availability, initiative and creativity in handling new challenges.
• Ability to work autonomously, responsibly and in a structured manner.
