Mechanical Designer – Molds (Product Development)

About the role

After an initial training period at our European headquarters in Dudelange, you will join the Development‑Engineering team responsible for beverage‑packaging tooling. You will provide engineering support throughout the product‑development process, delivering high‑quality, reliable and cost‑effective mold designs on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Iterate and refine design concepts based on the scope of work and produce a design selection matrix.
• Execute detailed mechanical designs applying company standards and GD&T.
• Perform system‑level design with limited guidance and create comprehensive design documents and validation plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide, including manufacturing, testing and validation.
• Develop and manage complex project plans, set milestones and communicate status effectively.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design for molds or tooling, preferably in a product‑development environment.
• Strong analytical abilities to solve complex technical problems.
• Proven project and time‑management skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Experience with virtual simulation tools for design validation.
