Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Luxembourg team and help develop advanced space transportation and cryogenic technologies. You will turn complex system requirements into robust, manufacturable hardware that supports zero‑boil‑off cryogenic architectures and in‑space propellant storage.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D models and mechanical assemblies using CAD tools.
• Create manufacturing‑ready drawings with GD&T, tolerances and material specifications.
• Contribute to mechanical architecture, system layout and basic structural/thermal assessments.
• Support FEA analyses and perform hand calculations.
• Participate in design reviews, configuration management and supplier coordination.
• Assist integration and test preparation activities.
• Maintain structured engineering documentation and PLM records.

Required profile

• MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Legal right to work in Luxembourg/EU.
• Hands‑on engineering mindset with ownership of tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX or similar).
• Strong ability to produce detailed, production‑ready drawings (GD&T).
• Fundamentals of structural design and basic thermal analysis.
• Basic experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
