Laboratory Technician – Quality (ISO 17025/15189)

About the role

The Laboratory Technician will join the Department Health Protection of the Luxembourg National Health Laboratory. Working full‑time (40 h/week) on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, the role focuses on performing environmental and human biomonitoring analyses while ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and microbiological analyses on dust, air, surface and human samples (blood, urine, hair).
• Maintain and verify laboratory equipment calibration and performance.
• Prepare, document and review quality management procedures to sustain ISO accreditation.
• Support internal and external audits, including corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Record, analyse and report analytical results in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in laboratory science, biology, chemistry or a related field.
• Proven experience in a quality‑focused laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 standards.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
