Laboratory Technician (M/F) – Full-time

About the role

The Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is seeking a full‑time Laboratory Technician (M/F) to join its Department of Health Protection. The position is permanent (CDI) and will support analytical activities related to environmental hygiene, human biomonitoring, and chemical‑microbiological testing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform chemical and microbiological analyses on dust, air, surface, and human biological samples (blood, urine, hair) following ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 standards.
• Measure human biomarkers of exposure and, increasingly, biomarkers of effect linked to disease pathways.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure quality control, and document results accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including the European PARC project, on risk assessment and human biomonitoring studies.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports for hospitals, ministries, and occupational health services.

Required profile

• Relevant laboratory qualification (e.g., degree or diploma in medical biology, environmental chemistry, or related field).
• Experience working in an accredited laboratory environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow standard operating procedures, and good organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in chemical and microbiological analytical techniques.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 accreditation requirements.
• Ability to handle and process human biological specimens safely.
