Junior KYC Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior KYC Officer to join the compliance team of an international bank in Luxembourg. You will work closely with senior colleagues to ensure client onboarding and periodic reviews meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the KYC unit handling onboarding and review of client and relationship files.
• Conduct daily screening against blacklists and sanctions lists.
• Prepare reports, statistics and regulatory filings for senior compliance officers and supervisory authorities.
• Support junior team members and provide training on KYC, AML/CTF and sanctions requirements.
• Assist the Head of KYC Unit and European Chief Compliance Officer in supervisory and control missions.
• Collect, verify and analyse data for internal and external audit requests.
• Prepare documentation for client and relationship acceptance committees and record meeting minutes.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance or Law.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in KYC, AML or compliance within an international bank.
• Good knowledge of European and Luxembourg AML/CTF regulations.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
