Financial Analyst Trainee – Institutional Mandate Relationship

About the role

The European Investment Fund is looking for a motivated Trainee – Financial Analyst to join its Institutional Mandate Relationship Southern Europe Division in Luxembourg. You will support private fundraising activities for the ETCI 2.0 project and help organise investor‑related documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Support ongoing prospection of private institutional investors for ETCI 2.0 and assist the MORE team in fundraising activities, including developing presentation materials and coordinating logistical arrangements.
• Coordinate the collection of presentation materials and legal documentation, update the CRM, and ensure relevant content is properly maintained in SharePoint and shared within the team.
• Contribute to the preparation, organisation and consolidation of investor‑related information and documentation.

Required profile

• University degree (or ongoing studies) in Business Administration, Finance, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Law or a related discipline; final‑year master’s students are welcome.
• Relevant coursework in private equity, venture capital, investment funds, financial markets, data analysis or similar is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with good drafting and synthesis skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of another EU language is a plus.
• Basic understanding of EIF’s mission, private investment and fundraising concepts.
