Financial Analyst – Regulatory Reporting – Banking

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst specialized in regulatory reporting for a leading banking institution in Luxembourg. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial data, compliance with regulatory requirements, and timely reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Daily control of the general ledger and profit & loss accounts.
• Analyse and resolve discrepancies from the accounting system.
• Produce monthly management and head‑office reports.
• Manage depreciation, provisions, and adjusting journal entries.
• Monitor and book bank fees, VAT and corporate income tax.
• Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT, Income Tax).
• Monitor liquidity, solvency ratios and regulatory capital requirements.
• Generate regulatory reports such as BCL, BOP, CDDP, etc.
• Prepare supplier payments and track invoices.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Support reconciliation and overall financial reporting processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a banking or audit environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements.
• Good understanding of LUX GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Fluent in English or French; Portuguese is a plus.
• Excellent analytical abilities, rigor and autonomy.
• Team‑oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
