Equity Valuations Trainee (5‑month internship)

About the role

The European Investment Fund (EIF) is looking for a motivated Trainee to join its Portfolio Solutions team within the Equity Investments Department. Over a five‑month period, you will support the valuation of Business Angel investments held by the European Angels Fund, gaining hands‑on experience in portfolio management and financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Collect qualitative and quantitative data on Business Angels and underlying companies from multiple sources.
• Assist in building back‑testing models, analysing portfolio returns and performing comparative valuations.
• Prepare Pitchbook, Capital IQ and AI‑driven reports for valuation purposes.
• Support the annual depositary exercise to verify ownership of Business Angel investments.
• Create automated files and improve valuation models, ensuring accurate reconciliation with depositary responses.

Required profile

• University degree (minimum Bachelor) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Post‑graduate qualifications or ACCA (or similar) are a distinct advantage.
• Strong financial analysis abilities with a focus on company fundamentals.
