Electrical System Engineer – Spacecraft Avionics

About the role

ClearSpace is seeking an Electrical System Engineer to join its Luxembourg electrical team, supporting the development of spacecraft avionics architecture, interfaces and system‑level integration across current missions and future programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level electrical system architecture and detailed electronics design from specification through integration.
• Develop and maintain spacecraft electrical budgets and parametric models.
• Define validation, verification and test plans and support product‑assurance activities.
• Lead integration and test of electrical units, generate reports and support flight operations.
• Write and evaluate RFPs for avionics hardware, manage subcontractors and supervise key hardware deliverables.
• Contribute to future spacecraft power‑system architecture and in‑house electronics development.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related discipline.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in the space industry, covering systems, avionics, data handling or power electronics.
• Proven experience with system‑level requirements, interfaces and formal reviews (PDR, CDR, etc.).
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple technical topics in parallel.
