Depositary Oversight Specialist, Officer

About the role

State Street is looking for a Depositary Oversight Specialist, Officer in Luxembourg, within its Investment Services function. You will monitor and oversee fund activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, fund documentation and contractual obligations, supporting the depositary's fiduciary and oversight duties to protect investors' interests.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse cash flow monitoring
• Carry out depositary oversight duties in line with UCITS and AIFMD regulations
• Perform due diligence on third parties such as fund administrators or transfer agents
• Oversee investment compliance monitoring
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement operational and regulatory requirements
• Drive operational excellence through process improvements, automation initiatives and operating model enhancements
• Maintain systems and databases and prepare internal and client reporting
• Attend client meetings and support ongoing relationship management

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• Experience in a bank, asset management company, law firm, audit firm or similar financial services organisation
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage
• Ability to support client meetings, due diligence and business development activities

Required skills

• Knowledge of UCITS and AIFMD directives and the regulatory framework
• Understanding of fund structures, governance, financial reporting and investment lifecycle processes
• Risk-based approach to identifying and escalating risk matters
• Organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Communication, stakeholder management and teamwork, working independently
• Advantage: experience in fund accounting, custody or investment compliance audit
