About the role

As a Data Scientist I on the AI Operations Integration team, you will tackle ambiguous, high‑impact problems that blend Large Language Models, Generative AI, and predictive analytics. You will help shape Amazon's global operations by delivering data‑driven solutions that improve efficiency and decision‑making across the company's worldwide footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and select appropriate data‑science methods—including machine learning, statistical modeling, NLP, and LLM‑based techniques—to solve complex operational challenges.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end data‑science solutions that model interactions among software systems, data pipelines, and operational processes.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams to translate vague business needs into well‑defined problem statements and actionable models.
• Lead large, cross‑functional initiatives, building consensus among stakeholders and driving measurable operational improvements.
• Make scientific and technical trade‑offs that balance short‑term operational needs with long‑term sustainability.
