Credit Officer

About the role

As a Credit Officer at Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management SA Luxembourg, you will evaluate credit applications, assess risk, and provide recommendations to support the bank’s wealth management activities. You will work closely with Wealth Managers and the Credit Committee to ensure sound credit decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Wealth Managers in preparing credit proposals.
• Analyse credit applications using the bank’s electronic credit tool and assess credit risk.
• Organise Credit Committee meetings, draft minutes and prepare loan contracts in collaboration with the Legal Department.
• Manage credit administration tasks, including drafting correspondence, certificates and maintaining credit limits in the corporate banking system.
• Oversee credit card and loan applications, drawdowns, renewals and monitor upcoming maturities.
• Liaise with external parties such as notaries and evaluators, and maintain a credit inventory.
• Prepare periodic credit reviews, monitor the portfolio for risk and opportunities, and ensure compliance with CSSF/EBA regulations.
• Archive client credit files and maintain the credit documentation library.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, economics or a related field.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Good understanding of credit analysis and risk management.
