Business Analyst – Banking & Financial Services

About the role

You will act as a bridge between business and IT teams, driving transformation initiatives in a highly regulated, data‑driven banking environment. The role focuses on delivering solutions that meet regulatory, operational and digitalisation challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business, operations, compliance and IT stakeholders to capture and refine requirements.
• Analyze and document functional and non‑functional requirements, including business rules and regulatory constraints (KYC, AML, GDPR, CSSF).
• Facilitate workshops and working groups to gather and challenge business needs.
• Translate needs into user stories, functional specifications and high‑level solution documents.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Agile teams to align business expectations with technical delivery.
• Map and analyse end‑to‑end processes (payments, onboarding, reporting, risk) and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Support data‑driven initiatives, ensuring data quality, traceability and reporting alignment.
• Contribute to digital transformation programmes such as automation, APIs, cloud and AI‑driven solutions.
• Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory and governance frameworks.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in banking, financial services or insurance.
• Strong knowledge of banking processes and regulatory environment (AML/KYC, GDPR, CSSF, MiFID).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills in French and English.
• Analytical mindset with ability to structure complex problems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to facilitate workshops and drive consensus among multiple stakeholders.
• Interest in digital transformation, data, AI and automation.
• Autonomous, proactive and comfortable in fast‑paced settings.
