AV Designer – Audiovisual Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AV Designer to develop and implement both standard and complex audiovisual solutions for our clients. The role involves close collaboration with architects, engineers and contractors to deliver integrated video, audio and control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop audiovisual, video, audio and control systems for various projects.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure seamless integration.
• Select appropriate AV equipment such as projectors, displays, sound systems and video‑conferencing solutions.
• Define AV requirements (power, data, reinforced walls) for IT and main contractors.
• Review third‑party deliverables, conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports.
• Participate in regular work‑stream meetings and support project‑management activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia Design or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in AV design, integration or installation, with project‑management exposure.
• Fluent English; French and German are a plus.
• Willingness to travel and strong problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AV design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Visio.
• Strong knowledge of control systems and audio/video transport protocols.
• Understanding of AV‑over‑IP networking and virtual/augmented reality integration.
• CTS or PRINCE2 certification (advantageous).
