Associate Operations Analyst

About the role

Helical is building AI‑first operations infrastructure to support rapid growth in drug discovery. As an Associate Operations Analyst you will design and maintain production‑grade AI workflows, automation backbones, and finance processes while ensuring a smooth experience for new hires and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop production‑grade Claude agents and reusable AI skills used daily across the company.
• Build and maintain robust automation workflows on Make.com (or similar platforms).
• Collaborate with the fractional CFO to strengthen the finance backbone.
• Identify and fix broken operating rails before they impact the team.
• Own the end‑to‑end new‑joiner experience, fostering immediate inclusion.
• Lead vendor selection and negotiation for the SaaS stack, confidently pushing back when needed.
• Design scalable ops processes to support growth from 30 to 100 employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (engineering, finance, biology, or entrepreneurship preferred).
• 1–3 years of operations experience in a startup environment (Series Seed to Series B).
• Daily user of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor.
• Experience with at least one automation platform (Make.com, Zapier, or n8n).
• Delivered at least one production automation or AI workflow currently in use.
• Managed a high‑trust workstream end‑to‑end (e.g., SOC 2, ISO, financial close, vendor consolidation, audit).
• Power‑user of Notion and Google Drive.
• Based in London with the right to work in the UK.
