Assistant Professor, Sport Management – Digital Strategy

About the role

LUNEX, a specialised higher‑education institution in Luxembourg, is seeking an Assistant Professor to lead its Master’s programme in Sport Management & Digital Strategy. The role combines teaching, research, programme coordination and industry partnership development within an international, interdisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage and oversee accreditation cycles for the Master’s programme, delivered both on‑site and in blended formats.
• Teach and lecture across bachelor’s and master’s levels, ensuring high‑quality scholarly instruction.
• Develop and expand a network of high‑profile industry partners, including sport federations, global brands and athlete management agencies.
• Establish a robust research agenda, secure funding, lead projects and build international research collaborations.
• Represent LUNEX at academic and professional forums and support recruitment and promotional activities.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in a relevant discipline or significant industry experience.
• Proven scholarly or professional achievements in sport management, digital strategy or related fields.
• Emerging or established research record with experience in obtaining funding or leading projects.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage high‑level industry partnerships.
• Experience with programme accreditation processes.

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal English communication (C1/C2).
• Ability to work proactively, adapt to change and collaborate across teams.
• Knowledge of digital marketing, sport business trends, media, sponsorship and data analytics in sport.
