AI Engineer – Amazon Business EU Product Team

About the role

Amazon Business is looking for an AI Engineer to join its EU Product team. You will work closely with BI Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers and other stakeholders to design, develop, and scale AI‑driven automation solutions for European business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prioritize customer‑facing AI features based on EU business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Gather localized requirements for Minimum Lovable Product (MLP) launches and collaborate with central tech teams.
• Develop AI agents, transform prototypes into production‑ready code, and own end‑to‑end deployment at scale.
• Establish automated pipelines for large‑scale data analysis, model development, validation, and serving.
• Document processes for both technical and non‑technical audiences and participate in code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist in recruiting new AI talent.
• Present outcomes and technical approaches to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Experience analyzing data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL or similar databases.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI, or Excel.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, or R and solid SQL knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining AI agents in production (at least one agent deployed).
• Background in the data/BI space with experience creating ETL pipelines, data models, and queries.
