AI & Data Engineer

About the role

As an AI & Data Engineer at SECO Group, you will help create the next generation of Data & AI products for the construction sector. Working in a startup‑mindset environment, you will be involved from research and data collection through to AI pipelines and client‑facing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop new Data & AI use cases for construction, inspection, risk management, and engineering processes.
• Identify, collect, clean, and structure large volumes of heterogeneous data (documents, images, sensor data, geospatial data, etc.).
• Build robust, scalable data pipelines to deliver high‑quality datasets for AI models and product features.
• Support AI model development by preparing data foundations, evaluating outputs, and improving performance.
• Develop modern web applications using JavaScript, React, and Python.
• Rapidly prototype, test with users, iterate, and industrialise successful concepts.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with business experts, engineers, inspectors, data specialists, and external partners.

Required profile

• Strong software development experience with Python and/or JavaScript.
• Good knowledge of React and modern web application development.
• Experience in data engineering, especially building pipelines and handling large datasets.
• Interest or experience in AI/ML, generative AI, computer vision, document intelligence, or predictive analytics.
• Ability to work with complex, heterogeneous data sources.
• Entrepreneurial, autonomous, proactive mindset suited to a fast‑paced environment.
