About the role

Hawksford is looking for an Accountant, Funds to join its accounting team in Luxembourg, reporting to a Director. The team provides accounting and tax services to privately owned Luxembourg companies and companies forming part of international groups.

Key responsibilities

• Record accounting transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
• Perform account reconciliations and prepare periodic and annual financial reporting
• Process client and supplier invoices
• Prepare and file VAT returns and assist with other tax compliance matters
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's, or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Solid knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP and the Luxembourg tax framework
• Experience in the accounting of Luxembourg holding, financing and investment companies
• Well-organised, detail-oriented, autonomous, proactive and able to meet deadlines
• Fluent in French and English; knowledge of Italian is an additional asset

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas)
• Good command of the Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
