Transaction Processing Officer – Luxembourg

About the role

The European Investment Bank is looking for a Transaction Processing Officer to join its Special Lending Operations team at the Luxembourg headquarters. The position is full‑time, permanent and requires regular on‑site presence. You will help ensure that high‑volume financial transactions are processed accurately and on time while supporting the Bank’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end processing of lending transactions, meeting tight deadlines and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and mitigate operational and settlement risks in a high‑criticality environment.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Legal, IT and Data teams to ensure compliance and data quality.
• Drive back‑office transformation by applying automation, AI/ML, RPA and Distributed Ledger Technology.
• Contribute to process standardisation, straight‑through processing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in financial markets transaction processing.
• Experience with data‑driven analysis and technology adoption in a back‑office setting.
• Ability to work autonomously on complex processes while maintaining high quality.
• Excellent communication with cross‑functional stakeholders.
