Technical Program Manager, Data Center Construction Projects

About the role

Google’s Data Center team is looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead the design, construction and delivery of mission‑critical facilities. You will coordinate multi‑disciplinary engineering efforts, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and act as the bridge between internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site‑wide data‑center construction and capital‑improvement projects, overseeing scope, schedule, cost, quality and EHS compliance.
• Lead development of detailed designs and supervise construction, commissioning, close‑out and hand‑off to operations.
• Establish and maintain delivery models and global relationships with partners and vendors.
• Identify risks, track milestones and communicate status to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Construction Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of program‑management experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in data‑center or other mission‑critical facility design and construction.
• Hands‑on experience with switchgear, generators, chillers, HVAC, security and fire‑safety systems.
• Preferred: experience managing cross‑functional projects, commercial agreements, procurement and partner relationships; solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
